Ghana needs NPP to lead it to prosperity and transformation - Kufuor

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has called for unity within the New Patriotic Party (NPP), asserting that the party must regain power to fulfill Ghana's development needs. During a virtual address at the party's national delegates conference, Kufuor emphasized that the NPP is best positioned to lead Ghana towards its development goals.

He urged the party to operate democratically, highlighting the importance of unity among its members. Kufuor stated, "Ghana needs our party to lead it into the prosperity and transformation that must be the aspiration of all of us." He argued that the NPP is the only political organization capable of guiding Ghana to its desired destination, making unity crucial to its campaign for regaining power.

The former President's plea comes as delegates are convening to select the party's leadership and discuss new guidelines for its operations. Kufuor stressed that the party's chances of returning to government are directly tied to its capacity to maintain unity. His remarks underscored the centrality of party cohesion to the NPP's efforts to reorganize and emerge as the leading force in Ghana.
