Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has indicated that special allocations for young people will be announced in the 2027 Budget. Kuala Lumpur: Anwar stated that the government will announce special allocations for the youth in the 2027 Budget, set to be presented on October 9. He acknowledged the concerns and demands of the youth, including issues related to education costs and the needs of low-income students.

University students said, "We want to learn, but we are hungry. We push ourselves." Anwar emphasized that the country is not poor, but rich in resources, during the presentation of the Youth and Sports Economy Forum 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. Other attendees included Minister of Youth and Sports Taufiq Johari, Finance Minister Kamil Abdul Munim's deputy, and President of the Felo Perdana Alumni Association Fanitsyara Kam Phon.

Anwar spent the previous day listening to the views of young academics and experts on the steps needed to ensure Malaysia does not fall behind. He emphasized that no one determines the country's future but the current generation of young people. Exploring the environment and new discipline are areas for young people, and his responsibility is to allocate resources, improve education quality, and promote proficiency in Malay, English, Chinese, Arabic, French, and German languages.
