UM universiti pertama dapat akses ILMUcode

Universiti Malaya (UM) has become the first university in Malaysia to gain access to ILMUcode, a platform for advanced artificial intelligence (AI) coding developed by YTL AI Labs. The prestigious institution's Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology will grant 800 first-year students with a monthly RM100 credit for three months, enabling them to utilize the platform for exploring and developing projects worth up to RM300.

ILMUcode was launched by Education Minister Zambry Abdul Kadir, offering users access to cutting-edge AI coding technology through state-of-the-art infrastructure. UM's Deputy Chancellor Noor Azuan Abu Osman stated that the initiative will help complete the next generation of technology developers in Malaysia and strengthen the local AI talent pipeline.

"We are proud that Universiti Malaya is the first university in Malaysia to provide our Computer Science students with access to cutting-edge AI coding through ILMUcode. Through ILMUcode, we can further develop Malaysia's future technology developers and strengthen our local AI talent pipeline," he said in a statement. ILMUcode combines AI-powered coding assistants with the ILMU-GLM-5.3 model, developed in collaboration with Z.ai, to help users write, edit, solve problems, and build software.

YTL AI Labs Executive Vice President Foong Chee Mun said the company combines local AI capabilities with international corporate technology, including NVIDIA and Z.ai, while maintaining premium infrastructure. "With the launch of ILMUcode, we are preparing Malaysian citizens with advanced AI not just for everyday use, but also for developing AI-driven solutions and contributing to Malaysia's aspiration to become an AI nation," he added.

ILMUcode is part of YTL AI Labs' AI portfolio, which includes the ILMUclaw autonomous AI builder and the ILMUchat conversational AI platform. The platform is now available to developers, students, and anyone interested in exploring software development.
