Trump appears at Texas rally with former NBA star Rodman
Dennis Rodman's inclusion in the travelling party comes as the president seeks a face-to-face meeting with Kim Jong Un, a friend of the basketball star.
Dennis Rodman, a former NBA star, accompanied US President Donald Trump at a rally in Denton, Texas. Rodman, who is known to be friendly with North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un, was part of Trump's entourage during the president's speech at the Peterbilt Motors truck plant. Trump had mentioned Rodman's ability to communicate with Kim, stating, "When I wanted to get to know Kim Jong Un when we were having a problem - Kim Jong Un and I get along - but the one who knew him best was Dennis Rodman."
After the event, Rodman expressed his desire to discuss life with Trump during their ride to Oklahoma. While the reason for Rodman's attendance at the rally remains undisclosed, the inclusion highlights Trump's ongoing efforts to establish contact with Kim.
