Sesi persekolahan 2027 mula 4 Jan

The Malaysian Ministry of Education (KPM) announced that the 2027 academic year will commence on January 4th and conclude on February 2nd for schools in Group A, which includes Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu. For schools in Group B, which comprises states such as Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Perlis, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, Selangor, the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Labuan, and Putrajaya, the academic year will start on January 4th and end on March 3rd, 2027.

The government body also coordinated the dates for annual holidays throughout the 2027 academic year, including the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, Chinese New Year, Deepavali, the Day of the Dead, Kaamatan Festival, Gawai Dayak, Wesak Day, and Christmas.

The KPM emphasized that all schools must adhere to the additional leave provisions by the Ministry during the primary celebrations of Eid al-Fitr, Chinese New Year, the Day of the Dead, Wesak Day, and Deepavali. These leave provisions are not to be altered, according to the KPM's statement today. The ministry explained that this standardization aims to ensure a consistent opening of the 2028 academic year nationwide and facilitate more organized and efficient planning of school administration and teaching and learning activities.
