443 flights have been cancelled in Portugal as a result of a five-day cabin crew strike by easyJet, according to Xinhua. The strike, which began on Friday, has affected the company's bases in Lisbon, Porto, and Faro, with the cancellations representing about 80% of the scheduled operations during the strike period, according to the National Union of Civil Aviation Personnel (SNPVAC).

Union representative Ana Dias stated that additional flights still on schedule may also be affected, though some may be managed by pilots and crew brought from other bases in Europe. The airline expects to manage only about 55% of the scheduled flights during the strike, including the minimum service, which covers around 22% of the Portugal-based operations, as well as flights handled by crew from other European bases.

The company stated that the strike fully complies with the law and regulations. However, SNPVAC considers this practice invalid, and it may file a court appeal against it. The strike, which has been ongoing since Tuesday, was preceded by several disputes, including work schedule stability, minimum wage increases according to collective bargaining, and conditions being discussed in negotiations for a new company agreement.
