PETROAN seeks direct fuel supply deal with Azikel refineacry

The Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) has begun talks with Azikel Refinery in Bayelsa State to establish a direct supply arrangement for locally refined petroleum products. During a meeting in Yenagoa, PETROAN's National President Dr. Billy Gillis-Harry and an association delegation, including Chairman Dr. Eruani Godbless and refinery management, discussed the refinery's development and potential collaboration.

The key focus was the offtake arrangement, where PETROAN members would gain access to refinery products based on mutually agreed terms. PETROAN's Dr. Gillis-Harry emphasized the association's commitment to strengthening the downstream petroleum sector and improving access to locally refined products. The refinery's management welcomed the discussions and highlighted the importance of building strategic relationships with petroleum products retail outlets as Azikel Refinery continues operations.

The partnership discussions align with broader efforts to expand domestic refining capacity and enhance local petroleum products supply in Nigeria. PETROAN's engagement with indigenous refineries forms part of its strategy to promote a more efficient, competitive, and sustainable petroleum products market.
