Lil Nas X Storms Back Stronger On Uplifting ‘World’s Greatest’ Single: ‘I Hope the World Shows Up For You’
The inspirational song is the first new music from the rapper since he went to rehab for mental health support earlier this year.
Lil Nas X, the star of the "Montero" album, has released a new single, "World's Greatest," that's filled with uplifting and empowering messages. This is the first music Lil Nas has shared since revealing in June that he took time off for mental health care following a bipolar disorder diagnosis. The track is a testament to his resilience and the support he received from his family and community.
In the song, he sings lines like, "I hope your dreams work out for you/I hope your green comes out the blue/I hope you learn to love again/Yeah I hope you learn to trust the plan," with a confident and triumphant tone. The track is a jubilant homage to self-belief in the face of adversity, with lyrics about overcoming hardships and rising above.
In the video, Lil Nas showcases his dance moves and reflects on his childhood, surrounded by his loving family. The video also includes a touching voicemail from Lil Nas' late mother, Tamikia Hill, encouraging him to never give up. The song's beat and acoustics were inspired by OutKast's "Hey Ya!" and serve as a reminder of Lil Nas' roots in Atlanta.
The video concludes with a celebration of his achievements, referencing his hit "Industry Baby" from the "Montero" album and ending with Lil Nas in a proud pose, surrounded by love and encouragement.
