Brian Cox's serial killer gives Dexter Morgan some competition in Dexter: Resurrection season 2 trailer

Brian Cox takes the role of a new serial killer in the upcoming second season of Dexter: Resurrection, providing Dexter Morgan with some stiff competition. In the official trailer, Dexter, portrayed by Michael C. Hall, is seen grappling with his life choices in his 50s, as he deals with mundane activities such as eye exams and workouts while reflecting on the solitary life he has led.

Dexter laments, "This is hardly the life I imagined I'd have in my 50s. A lifetime of blending in, it gets to you." The trailer highlights the ongoing competition between Dexter and the new killers, the New York Ripper, played by Brian Cox, and the Five Borough Killer, portrayed by Dan Stevens. According to the official synopsis, Dexter must navigate his way through dealing with two killers: one with decades of notoriety and multiple kills behind him, and the other a young, fresh face terrorizing New York City in unprecedented ways.

Additionally, Dexter is dealing with his own mid-life crisis, with his father-son relationship facing their darkest chapter yet. Dexter: Resurrection season two is set to return on October 30th, exclusively on Paramount+, available only on the Premium Plan. Watch the trailer below for a sneak peek into the new season.
