Chargers draft elite DT in new 2027 NFL mock draft
Ole Miss DT Will Echoles in an elite defender this year and the Chargers could be in line to draft him in the first.
Nashville, Tennessee - September 6: Will Echoles, a defensive tackle from Ole Miss Rebels, made a strong impact in a recent game against the Louisville Cardinals. The Chargers, who have been focusing on drafting offensive players recently, are now looking to bolster their defensive line with the 14th overall pick in the 2027 NFL draft.
Analyst Mike Renner of CBS Sports predicts that the Chargers will win around six to eight games in the upcoming season, making it a good time to acquire a dynamic pass rusher like Echoles. At 6'3 and 310 pounds, Echoles has the physical attributes to dominate in both run and pass games, as demonstrated by his performance against LSU where he racked up seven pressures, three tackles for loss, and a sack.
