A new Marvel rumor suggests Avengers: Secret Wars could lose its December 2027 release date slot — and a filming delay could be the reason why
Numerous insiders have claimed that Avengers: Secret Wars won't start filming until early 2027.
A rumor has surfaced suggesting that the release date for Avengers: Secret Wars could be pushed back from December 2027 to January 2027 due to filming delays. Multiple insiders claim that shooting for the Marvel movie will not commence until January 2027, pushing the release date to December 17, 2027. If filming continues into April or May 2027, post-production would need to be completed within a seven to eight-month timeframe to meet the current release date.
This delay could have significant consequences for future MCU projects, as it would be the third time in Marvel's history that a single movie hasn't been released in a calendar year, following 2009 and 2020.
