WNBA announcer LaChina Robinson calls out Fever fans after A’ja Wilson incident

In a crucial WNBA Playoff game between the Indiana Fever and the Las Vegas Aces, a fan incident marred an otherwise stellar performance by Caitlin Clark. With less than five minutes left on the clock, A'ja Wilson of the Aces and Sophie Cunningham of the Fever engaged in a physical altercation in the paint, resulting in Cunningham receiving a technical foul.

After the incident, Wilson directed a heated verbal exchange towards a fan seated near the baseline, leading to her receiving a technical foul as well. During the live broadcast on Amazon Prime Video, analyst LaChina Robinson criticized the Fever fans for being at the center of such in-game incidents throughout the season. She stated, "This is really unfortunate, and I feel like this has happened several times here in Indiana."

Robinson continued, "The intensity of the game is enough, and then to have to hear things from the crowd and fans, that should not - that don't have the right to impact the game at this point and the emotions of these players." Fellow analyst Candace Parker added, "To be honest with you, if you're a player, you can't say anything.

We're human beings as well, and I think sometimes fans get into the game and think they can say whatever they want. We don't know what was said, but A'ja took exception to it."
