Ukraine’s new ground robot switches from land to water in seconds. It just ran its first supply mission, 40 kilometers to positions others can’t reach

A Ukrainian ground robot, the Alter Ego unit from the 93rd Brigade, successfully completed its first logistics mission, a 40-kilometer supply run across land and water to reach positions that are otherwise inaccessible, according to the Defense Ministry. Facing the ever-present threat of water obstacles, such as rivers, canals, and marshes, the robot demonstrated its versatility by seamlessly transitioning from driving on land to swimming in seconds.

This development is the latest in a series of battlefield-robot innovations for Ukraine, including deploying robots behind Russian lines via air drop. The robot's creation is a joint effort between Brave1, a state-backed defense-innovation cluster, and the military, with grant support from the Defense Ministry to ensure its practical application on the frontlines.
