UFC 332 fight card: Marcus McGhee books new opponent 3 days from event
Marcus McGhee fights last-second replacement at UFC 332
The UFC 332 fight card experienced a late change as Marcus McGhee (11-2) was assigned to face newcomer Anthony Romero (7-2, 1 NC) just three days prior to the event in Salt Lake City. Romero took over for injured opponent Bernardo Sopaj. The bout will now be held at featherweight, previously scheduled for bantamweight. McGhee had recently rebounded from his first UFC loss to Petr Yan, earning a unanimous decision win over John Yannis this past June.
His current record stands at 5-1 in the 135-pound division, per MMA Fighting Global Rankings. Romero, primarily competing for Up Next Fighting, recently defended his UNF bantamweight title via a first-round knockout of Yuma Horiuchi. The UFC 332 main card is set for Paramount+ and CBS, 8 p.m. ET, featuring a vacant flyweight title bout between Natalia Silva and Wang Cong.
