‘Tinubu practicing voodoo economics, don’t believe him’ – Kenneth Okonkwo to Nigerians

Kenneth Okonkwo, a spokesman for the African Democratic Congress presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, has harshly criticized President Bola Tinubu's administration. In an interview on Channels Television's Politics Today, Okonkwo accused Tinubu's government of practicing "voodoo economics" and manipulating figures to conceal the true inflation rate.

The spokesperson cautioned Nigerians to be wary of the APC government's claims, stating that nothing they say should be taken at face value. Okonkwo specifically highlighted the failure of the economy to improve, noting that inflation remains stubbornly high at 35 percent. He pointed out that fuel prices have risen significantly, from N1,100 to N1,500 per liter, despite Tinubu's administration claiming that inflation is coming down.

Okonkwo argued that the government's efforts to cover up the economic problems are nothing short of deceptive, suggesting that even the administration's technical glitches are a symptom of deeper issues.
