SPRM kemuka syor tambah baik tatakelola kepada Felda, 2 anak syarikat

Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency (SPRM) has proposed several improvements in the management of the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) and its two subsidiaries for better governance. The recommendation was made in relation to the execution of two projects under the agency's supervision. The two subsidiaries implicated are FIC Supplies Sdn Bhd (FIC Supplies) and FIC Integrated Property Management (FIC IPM).

According to SPRM, the recommendation involves restructuring the roles of FIC IPM as an independent advisory panel to ensure objective, clear, and impartial advice is provided, free from any conflict of interest. Additionally, SPRM suggests that Felda should strengthen its asset and business management practices through the establishment of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) specifically related to the methodology of acquisition via Request for Proposal (RFP) and work changes (Variation Order).

The move is important to ensure a consistent, systematic, and clear process, with controls in place. These suggestions were outlined by SPRM Deputy Chairman I, Maznah Che Muda at the Felda headquarters. Both Felda and its subsidiaries welcomed the recommendations as a step towards enhancing their efficiency and integrity, while acknowledging their commitment to implement them in the long term.

Approval of these proposals will be documented in a Management Improvement Report signed by Felda Group Chief Executive Syed Fadil Syed Sofi, Executive Director of FIC Group Syed Fadil Syed Sofi, and SPRM Deputy Chairman Zaki Hassan.
