Six teams recognised at BKIT Innovation Ideathon

Six student teams were honoured at the BKIT Innovation Ideathon 2026, a college-level competition organised by the Bheemanna Khandre Institute of Technology (BKIT) in Bhalki. The event, supported by Agastya International Foundation, Anveshana and Synopsys Ltd., Bengaluru, saw an increase in winning positions from three to six due to the high quality of participation.

Out of 72 registered teams, 56 submitted presentations, with 45 teams participating in the preliminary rounds and 12 teams advancing to the final round on September 29. Students were tasked with creating ideas to tackle real-world issues, which were assessed based on the strength of the concept, technical understanding, feasibility and potential impact.

The six winning teams were Kaamdo and Thrinetra AI, Smart Farmer Marketplace and Solar Chain, and Mesh-Rescue and Proof of Reality. Rajashekar Matpathi, dean of Skill Development and Training, praised the students for their impressive technical abilities and encouraged them to continue refining their ideas. Bhaskar Naidu of Anveshana and Agastya International Foundation commended the innovative ideas brought by young minds, praising BKIT for organising the event.
