Selangor peruntuk RM100,000 bantu isteri, anak digantung nafkah

Program Bantuan Nafkah Rahmah Selangor 2026 aims to provide RM100,000 in temporary financial assistance to up to 50 families affected by orders from Shariah courts. This initiative is part of an effort to strengthen social protection and support for women and children who have been subjected to abuse due to judgments issued by Shariah courts.

The money will be distributed based on recommendations from the Accounting and Audit Assurance Section Family Support Unit (BSK) of the Shariah Courts Accountability Section (Jakess). This assistance will be given in the form of RM2,000 for the wife and RM1,000 for each child. The purpose of this program is to provide relief to women and children who have received Shariah court orders for alimony but have failed to receive payments from debtors.

To be eligible for this assistance, applicants must be Muslim and reside in Selangor. They must also have a household income of less than RM5,000 per month, a valid alimony order from a Shariah court, and be in arrears with the payments from the debtor. Applicants must also meet the criteria set under the Initial and Assistance Payment Guidelines and Family Support Payment Unit, Department of Shariah Courts Administration, Malaysia.

Any individual who meets the eligibility criteria can apply for the program through Jakess and BSK by visiting their respective offices to check their eligibility and submit the application form. The government remains vigilant to ensure the protection and well-being of women and children in the state, and urges former spouses and parents not to abandon their responsibilities and take full responsibility for fulfilling alimony orders issued by the Shariah court for the sake of the future and survival of their children.
