Mickelson sought treatment at addiction center, TMZ reports

On September 30, TMZ reported that professional golfer Phil Mickelson had sought treatment at an addiction center. The news outlet cited family trauma and addiction as the reasons for Mickelson's check-in at the facility. Mickelson was reported to have already checked out of the treatment center, as confirmed by a statement from his representative.

However, Reuters was unable to immediately obtain a comment from Mickelson's team. In April, Mickelson had stated that he was taking an extended break from competitive golf due to a personal health matter. He had only played one event for the LIV Golf circuit that year and later withdrew from the PGA Championship due to family health reasons.
