Ksi Lisims LNG signs long-term supply deal with Centrica Energy

VANCOUVER - Ksi Lisims LNG LP has entered into a long-term supply agreement with Centrica Energy for its proposed liquefied natural gas export facility. For the first year, the annual payment will be $205.00 + GST, with automatic renewal at $233.00 + GST every 52 weeks, which is a 10% discount from the regular annual price of $259.35. The offer is available to both new and qualified returning subscribers, with cancellation possible at any time.

Under the agreement, the parent company of British Gas will purchase one million tonnes of LNG annually for 20 years. Ksi Lisims LNG has proposed a floating export facility on the northwest coast of British Columbia with a capacity for 12 million tonnes of LNG per year. The company has signed agreements covering nine million tonnes per year of its planned capacity.

The lead developer and future operator of Ksi Lisims LNG is Western LNG, a Houston-based company, along with Rockies LNG, a consortium of Canadian natural gas producers, and the Nisga'a Nation, whose lands the project is planned to be built upon. The first shipments from the project, still awaiting a final investment decision, are anticipated to begin in the early 2030s.
