He emphasized that the unique status of the institution of kingship within a parliamentary monarchy and constitutional democracy is crucial in maintaining political balance, guaranteeing government continuity, and strengthening social harmony across ethnic and religious groups. The statement was made as Tuanku Syed Faizuddin happily inaugurated Wacana Adiwangsa 2026: Institutions of Kingship, Heritage, and the Spirit of the Nation at Dewan Seri Semarak, UiTM Perlis branch in Arau.

He also stressed that heritage, culture, and language should be strengthened as a strategic asset and a high-value symbol of identity, not merely relics of history. "Traditional heritage must evolve with innovation and technology to continue growing, staying relevant, and being presented on the international stage," he added. Tuanku Syed Faizuddin hopes the discussion will broaden understanding, foster awareness, and deepen collective commitment in preserving the institution of kingship, enhancing heritage, and shaping a knowledgeable, principled, and well-rounded generation.

The discussion aimed to strengthen the understanding of the public about the institution of kingship and the importance of preserving heritage, culture, and national identity. It also focused on efforts to cultivate a new generation that understands history, values heritage, and possesses a strong sense of self in facing change.

Other attendees included UiTM Arau's Rector Ahmad Nizan Mat Noor, UIoTM Malay Kings' Institution Chairperson Awang Sariyan, and UiTM Deputy Chancellor (Promotion of Adiwangsa) Amer Shakir Zainol.
