‘I Slipped And Fell...’: Amitabh Bachchan Reveals Knee Injury During KBC 18 Shoot, Explains Why He Chose To Sit And Not Stand

During the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) Season 18, Amitabh Bachchan revealed that he had injured his knee while shooting for the program the day before. The renowned actor mentioned that he typically delivers his opening monologue while standing at the center of the stage, but this time, he had to sit due to his knee injury.

Amitabh disclosed that he had slipped and fallen during the shoot, resulting in the injury. Although he had the option to stand, he chose to sit as he was experiencing some difficulty while standing. Despite the setback, Amitabh assured his fans that the injury was not severe. He further explained that he could have stood up to deliver his monologue, but due to the discomfort, he opted to remain seated.

Apart from KBC 18, Amitabh Bachchan is currently engaged in multiple projects. He is set to reprise his role as Ashwatthama in Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD: Part 2, with regular shooting scheduled for October 2026. Additionally, he is awaiting the release of Section 84, a courtroom drama by Section 84, and the Hindi remake of The Intern, which he co-stars in alongside Deepika Padukone.

Amitabh has experienced injuries on set before, such as a right rib-cage injury and muscle tear while filming for Kalki 2898 AD in March 2023. After recovering from that injury, he resumed his professional commitments. The knee injury he sustained during the KBC 18 shoot, however, has caused him some difficulty in standing.
