How to get to Dubai's Al Yalayis Station, take Etihad Rail and reach your Abu Dhabi office

Travellers can now reach Dubai's Al Yalayis Station via Etihad Rail, providing an alternative to the long commute between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The new route starts at Dh39 ($10.60) for "comfort" tickets and Dh109 for "premium" tickets, making it an affordable option for daily commuters. While the train journey is convenient, passengers still need to navigate the first and last mile, including getting to Al Yalayis Station and traveling from Abu Dhabi station to their office.

Reaching Al Yalayis Station involves various transport options, such as car parks, taxis, buses, and private transport operators. The station connects directly to the Dubai Metro network via a 400-meter pedestrian bridge, allowing Red Line passengers to take the Metro to Jumeirah Golf Estates, walk across the bridge, and board the train. Commuters can use the RTA journey planner or S hail app to plan their Metro journey, and add an RTA Nol One-Day Pass for unlimited travel on eligible services on the day of activation.

Passengers can also catch the F38 bus from Jumeirah Golf Estates, which connects the Metro station with communities like Dubai Production City and Dubai Sports City. Taxis and ride-hailing services like Bolt are available at the car park, with Etihad Rail partnering with Dubai Taxi Company for mobility services. Car parking is available at selected stations, with the first 15 minutes free and Dh5 per hour thereafter.

Upon arrival at Mohamed bin Zayed City Station, located near Dalma Mall and Mussafah Bus Station, commuters have several last-mile options. Although not centrally located, passengers can take a shuttle bus, taxi, or ride-hailing service to their final destination. Etihad Rail operates shuttles to selected areas for Dh10 per journey, and AD Mobility has introduced dedicated routes MR1 and MR2 connecting the rail station with major bus hubs in Abu Dhabi.

MR1 connects to Abu Dhabi's Main Bus Station, while MR2 connects to Al Zahiyah Bus Station, both passing through key areas along the way. Dedicated taxi and ride-hailing zones are available at all stations, and parking is free for the first 15 minutes, after which Dh5 per hour is charged.
