Haaland, Gyokeres, Wissa, 11 other EPL players who scored on international duty

During the September international break, fourteen Premier League players found the back of the net while representing their respective countries. Manchester City striker Erling Haaland led the way with three goals, scoring twice in Norway's 3-2 Nations League victory over Denmark and adding another in their 2-1 defeat by Portugal. Haaland, now with 65 goals from 57 international appearances, including 22 in the Nations League, is the leading scorer in the competition since its inception in 2018.

Arsenal striker Viktor Gyökeres followed suit, scoring twice for Sweden in their victories over Romania and Poland. Newcastle United forward Yoane Wissa also found the net twice while playing for DR Congo. Liverpool's Alexander Isak and Liverpool's Cody Gakpo both scored for Sweden and the Netherlands, respectively, with Isak scoring in both the 2-1 Nations League victory over Romania and Cody Gakpo adding a stoppage-time equaliser.

Other notable Premier League players who scored during the international break include Malick Yalcouyé from Brighton & Hove Albion, who scored and won a penalty on his Ivory Coast debut, Michael Kayode from Brentford, who scored on his Italy debut, and Christos Tzolis from Arsenal, who scored in Greece. Bryan Mbeumo from Manchester United, Oscar Bobb from Fulham, Nicolas Jackson from Aston Villa, Rayan from AFC Bournemouth, Shea Charles from Fulham, and Wilson Isidor from Sunderland also scored during the international break.
