Free Press Conducts ‘Stay Away From Drugs’ Seminar In Bhopal; Felicitates 27 Cops For Significant Contribution Towards 'Drug Free' Society | VIDEO

In an effort to combat drug abuse in Madhya Pradesh, the media organization Free Press organised a 'Stay Away From Drugs' seminar and celebration in Bhopal on Wednesday. Notable attendees included the Legislative Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, Cabinet Minister for Co-operatives, Sports and Youth Welfare Vishvas Sarang, Vidya Bharati Madhya Bharat Provincial Secretary Nikhilesh Maheshwari, ADG Narcotics D Sreenivasa Varma, and a renowned cancer specialist Dr Dinesh Pendharkar.

A total of 27 police officers were honoured for their significant contributions to the campaign against drug-related activities in Madhya Pradesh. Free Press Bureau Chief Nitendra Sharma emphasized the connection between drug abuse and crime, asserting that drug addiction is a primary cause of criminal activities. He urged for stronger public participation in the fight against addiction.

Nikhilesh Maheshwari, speaking at the event, shared a troubling story of drug abuse from Haryana, underscoring the serious consequences addiction poses to individuals, families, and society. He stressed the importance of collective efforts to tackle substance abuse and safeguard young people. The Minister for Sports, Vishvas Sarang, echoed the government's commitment to eliminating drugs from the nation, likening the fight against drugs to the nation's efforts to eradicate Naxalism.
