Bike & car stunt show at Surat college leads to police case

An unauthorized car and bike stunt show, dubbed 'The Drift Jam', took place at Auro University college in Surat on September 27, causing a stir on social media. The event organizer, Alpesh Rabari, was arrested by the Ichhapore police after violating safety regulations and obtaining no necessary permissions. Around 800 people paid Rs.

499 each to attend the event, which featured two modified bikes and four modified cars. The performance began at 4.00 pm and concluded at 8.00 pm, with drivers seen daringly burning firecrackers during stunts. Ichhapore police inspector S A Shah revealed that the event organizers were found without the required permissions from both the police and fire department.

The police lodged a case against Rabari and the stunt drivers, charging them under Sections 125, 223, and 54 of the Indian Penal Code for endangering human life and safety. Police investigators collected statements from the drivers following the incident.
