Bandits reportedly kill three Kebbi vigilantes returning from Niger

Three vigilantes from Kebbi State, Abubakar Mai Nera, Tanko Sarki, and Amadu Saminaka, were reportedly killed by bandits while returning from Agwara in Niger State. This tragic incident was reported on Wednesday by Bakatsine, a crisis reporter covering the North-West region. The vigilantes, all hailing from Saminaka and Bakinturu communities, were attacked around Kasabo, Binuwa, and Mago, located along the Niger-Kebbi border.

Following the assault, the attackers are said to have set the victims ablaze. Despite the incident occurring on Friday, the bodies of the victims have not been recovered as of Wednesday, with search efforts led by local authorities and residents ongoing.
