Army Havildar from Markapuram district killed in Arunachal Pradesh accident

An Indian Army Havildar from Markapuram district lost his life in a road accident while serving in Arunachal Pradesh, India, on Saturday. Havildar Kuvvarapu Kishan, aged 35, hailed from Pandillapalli village in the Bestavaripeta mandal of Markapuram district. His body was transported from Guwahati to Hyderabad by air and subsequently conveyed by road to his hometown on Wednesday.

The grieving family includes his parents, a wife, an infant son, and a younger brother. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu conveyed his condolences through a post on X, praising Mr. Kishan as "a brave son of our Andhra soil" and vowing to remember his courageous service to the nation. IT Minister Nara Lokesh also expressed his sorrow, learning about the Havildar's remains arriving at his native village.
