Apple Music 7.0 beta brings Liquid Glass redesign to Android

Apple Music for Android is set to receive a significant redesign with the 7.0 beta release, which introduces a Liquid Glass-inspired design language. The floating bottom bar, a feature already present on Apple platforms, will now be available on Android devices, providing users with visibility of content above, below, and to the sides.

The navigation element, embodying a subtle translucency, will allow users to view solid colors underneath. The mini-player, previously docked with the bottom bar, will now have a similar treatment, becoming independent. Unlike the iOS version, scrolling in the Android version will not cause the bar to collapse into a compact form, keeping all elements in place.

Top bars across the app have been unified, with the page title and overflow menu now sharing a single line. The three-dot icons have been redesigned and placed in circular containers. The Library tab has seen the most substantial update, offering "Edit Pins" and "Edit Categories" within the overflow menu. Artist pages are also getting a facelift, with background themes based on cover images, mirroring the iOS design.

The Share button will now be located in the top-right corner, and the Settings page has undergone a modernization with improved grouping. The status and navigation bars will now extend to the edges of the screen, and Apple Music 7.0 will maintain an edge-to-edge design. The beta version, aligning with iOS 27, is currently in testing phase for several weeks, with Apple Music 7.0 available for download from the Play Store listing or the provided page.
