Alleged Rihanna mansion shooter mentally fit for trial, says judge

A judge has ruled that Ivanna Ortiz, 36, the woman accused of shooting at Rihanna's luxury Los Angeles home, is mentally competent to stand trial for the alleged incident. Ortiz, who faces multiple charges including attempted murder and assault with a semiautomatic firearm, had earlier faced questions regarding her mental state.

The judge ordered Ortiz to return to court on Wednesday. According to prosecutors, Rihanna and her partner, A$AP Rocky, were in an Airstream trailer on the property when the alleged shooting occurred. Rihanna stated she heard multiple rounds hit the trailer and opened curtains to find bullet holes in the windshield. She also recounted getting Rocky out of bed and rushing to safety.

The shooting resulted in bullet holes at various locations, including a patio area and a nursery room wall, and even a neighboring property. Ortiz, who was arrested with a rifle, ammunition, and a wig, has pleaded not guilty to all charges and remains in detention with a $1.875 million bail set.
