All You Need to Know About Xiaomi 18 Ahead of Launch

Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max in China recently, but the standard Xiaomi 18 did not make an appearance. The base model is expected to be released separately in December, and a recent leak has disclosed most of its specifications. Leaker Panda is Bald on Weibo stated that the Xiaomi 18 will also feature a dual 200MP rear camera system, similar to the Pro models. Here are the key details.

The Xiaomi 18 is rumored to have a 6.4-inch M11 display with a 1.5K resolution. The device is also expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset. The camera system is anticipated to consist of a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor. This could be supplemented by a second 200MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.

The third rear camera is believed to be a 50MP ultrawide, giving the standard Xiaomi 18 a camera setup akin to the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Pro Max, even though it is positioned below them in the lineup.

The Xiaomi 18 is said to house a 7,200mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging. The tipster suggests that Xiaomi plans to launch the standard model in December. However, Xiaomi has not officially confirmed the Xiaomi 18’s specifications or launch date yet. Given that the Xiaomi 18 is expected to launch in China around December, it is likely to make its way to the international market in early 2027, probably in the first quarter.
