2027: LP urges governors to emulate Otti’s leadership

Ahead of Nigeria's 2027 general elections, the Labour Party has called on all political leaders across the nation to emulate the leadership style of Abia State Governor, Alex Otti. Labour Party's National Publicity Secretary, Ken Asogwa, made this appeal in a message marking the country's Independence Day. Asogwa highlighted Otti's credible leadership, which he believes offers Nigerians a reason to trust the party's candidates in the upcoming polls.

Otti, who won the party's nomination in 2023, has demonstrated transparent governance, which the party sees as a model for other leaders to follow. Asogwa urged all political authorities to govern with empathy, justice, and transparency, emphasizing that the welfare of citizens should be the central focus of governance. The Labour Party has fielded competent and credible candidates for the 2027 elections, from the presidential level to state assembly positions, urging Nigerians to consider them as an alternative.

Despite the current economic and security challenges, Asogwa emphasized that Nigerians should not lose hope, stressing the importance of holding leaders accountable for meaningful change.
