189 combat engagements at front in past day, heaviest fighting in Kostiantynivka direction – General Staff

Russia launched a series of 189 combat engagements against Ukrainian forces throughout the day, with the majority of attacks originating from the Kostiantynivka direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Russian military engaged in 46 airstrikes using 172 guided aerial bombs, deployed 5,763 kamikaze drones, and shelled Ukrainian positions and civilian areas 1,938 times.

In the North Slobozhanske and Kursk directions, Russia launched one assault action, while in the South Slobozhanske direction, they targeted settlements of Starytsia, Ohremivka, Mala Vovcha, and Vilhuvatka, with one attack still in progress. Kupiansk witnessed a single attempt by Russia to improve its positions, resulting in a repelled assault by Ukrainian forces.

In the Lyman direction, Russia attempted to advance five times, but the Defense Forces thwarted all attempts. Fighting remains ongoing in the Sloviansk direction, with the Ukrainian forces successfully halting Russia's advance four times near settlements of Ozerne, Pyskunivka, and Mykolaivka, with one attack continuing. In Kostiantynivka, the Ukrainian forces successfully thwarted 20 Russian assaults.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russia launched 14 attacks, while in the Lyman direction, they aimed to advance toward Svitle, Krasnopodillia, Novohryshyne, Kucheriv Yar, Serhiivka, and Molodetske. Two combat engagements remain active. The Ukrainian Defense Forces report that Russia suffered 26 casualties, with three wounded, as well as destruction of one special equipment item, three shelters, one automotive equipment piece, and 48 personnel shelters. Russia destroyed or suppressed 174 unmanned aerial vehicles.

In Oleksandrivka, Russia targeted Novoheorhiivka, while in Huliaipole, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled a Russian attack near Rizdvianka. In Orikhiv, Russia attempted to improve their tactical position by attacking three times toward Zarichne and Pavlivka.
