YSRCP slams government over ‘inhuman’ treatment of secretariat employees

The YSR Congress Party criticized the State government on Tuesday for treating secretariat employees in an "inhumane" manner, calling for respect for those workers. At a media conference in Proddatur, former MLA and State spokesperson Rachamallu Sivaprasad Reddy condemned allegations of an attack on the secretariat staff and criticized how ruling party leaders portrayed them.

Reddy cited a news report describing the employees as "blade batch," alleging that the NDA government was systematically using its leaders and media to demean the agitating workforce. The YSRCP demanded that the government treat the employees as colleagues rather than "slaves" and expressed support for their demands, including reducing work pressure, paying salary arrears and granting maternity leave, which Reddy described as reasonable. The YSRCP pledged to continue backing the employees until their concerns were addressed.
