The Trump administration has unveiled a revamped version of America.gov, touting it as a user-friendly platform to streamline Americans' access to information and services scattered across various agency sites. However, the newly launched website appears to contradict some of President Donald Trump's own claims, particularly when queried about sensitive topics such as the 2020 election outcome or the Department of Defense's location.

During the launch event, when asked about the 2020 presidential election, the AI-powered site responded with a statement that "official federal sources do not show that widespread fraud changed the outcome." This response is at odds with Trump's frequent assertions that the election was "stolen" from him. The site also declined to answer questions about whether Trump had been impeached or convicted of felony charges, echoing his stated position that it cannot provide answers to political inquiries.

As Trump reiterated his plans to seek a third presidential term, the site informed users that the 22nd Amendment prohibits a person from being elected to the presidency more than twice, noting that Trump has already served two terms. The chatbot's response is in direct contrast to Trump's repeated claims about his desire to run for a third term.

Regarding the Department of Defense's location, the site maintains that the Pentagon serves as the headquarters for the Department of Defense, a claim that aligns with Trump's frequent statements about the Pentagon being the location of the Department of War. However, Trump himself has attempted to rebrand the Department of Defense as the Department of War through an executive order, a move the president has previously dismissed as a means to pursue his third term.

The AI-driven website also provides information on climate change, stating that recent warming is largely attributed to human greenhouse-gas emissions, primarily from burning fossil fuels. This contradicts Trump's long-held belief that climate change is a "hoax" and his executive order aimed at questioning the Environmental Protection Agency's stance on the issue.

In terms of presidential salaries, the chatbot claims that some presidents have declined to keep their salaries, citing examples such as George Washington, Herbert Hoover, and John F. Kennedy. However, the site incorrectly mentions Trump among these individuals, despite Trump frequently claiming that he is the first U.S. president to forgo a salary.
