Media outlets, citing unidentified US officials, reported that Trump was willing to ease sanctions and release frozen funds as part of a deal contingent upon Iran showing concrete progress on its nuclear program.

Iran, however, maintains that it has no intention of developing nuclear weapons and insists on diplomacy to resolve the conflict. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed readiness for talks regarding the nuclear program and other issues, but firmly rejected any form of bullying or coercion. Iran has maintained that negotiations are the only viable solution to end the seven-month war, while the US has rejected the proposed deal, alleging desperation on Iran's part due to their deteriorating situation.
