Thane Police Station Clash: YouTuber Sidhu Abhange Assaulted After Vendors Allege Extortion Demands, Probe Underway | Video

In Thane East, a heated dispute erupted at Kopri Police Station between YouTuber and Yuva Sena office-bearer Sidhu Abhange and local vendors. The incident, which was filmed and shared widely online, left on-duty police officers intervening to quell the rising tension. Both parties were forced to separate and the situation was calmed within the police station premises.

The discord arose over allegations of extortion leveled by the women vendors, who claimed that Abhange demanded ₹500 from each of them daily as a mandatory collection at a local clothing market. The vendors approached the police station to lodge an official extortion complaint against Abhange. However, when Abhange arrived at the station, verbal arguments between the parties quickly turned violent, leading to a physical altercation.

In response to the allegations, Abhange denied the claims, asserting that they were politically motivated and intended to damage his reputation. He claimed that he had visited the police station to clarify a personal dispute, but a crowd soon gathered and attacked him before he could explain himself. Abhange maintained that he was the victim of a smear campaign orchestrated to tarnish his public image.

The Thane Police have confirmed that the statements of both Sidhu Abhange and the vendors have been recorded, and the investigation is currently underway. This includes reviewing CCTV footage and filing the appropriate First Information Reports (FIRs). As the legal process progresses, further actions will be taken in accordance with the investigation's findings.
