Iran's Revolutionary Guards woo US voters with open letter

An open letter penned by Iran's Revolutionary Guards has reached US voters, urging them to reject President Donald Trump's policies. The 25-page document, published on September 29, advocates for an end to US backing of Israel and foreign conflicts, and posits that Iran and the US could coexist peacefully if US policy shifted. Accusing Trump of concealing the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program and the success of Tehran's blockade on Gulf oil, the letter's author, IRGC spokesperson Hossein Mohebbi, stated that while he does not anticipate the letter to alter US behavior ahead of the elections, it may influence voters who are less informed about global affairs.

Mohebbi contended that US President Trump, whose party is trailing in opinion polls, has falsely portrayed Iran as a nuclear threat and falsely declared he would "annihilate" Iran if he chose to.
