Tech-Konzern: Neuer Apple-Chef plant offenbar weitreichenden Konzernumbau

Cupertino saw the emergence of a major restructuring plan for Apple, the US technology conglomerate, as reported by media sources. John Ternus, the new head of Apple, is reportedly planning extensive changes to the company. According to Bloomberg, Ternus aims to sharpen the focus on development, bring products to market more quickly, and streamline the organization. The news agency revealed these intentions on Tuesday.

One of the primary considerations in this strategic overhaul includes moving away from the traditional spring and fall product release cycles. Additionally, the elimination of middle management positions is proposed to reduce the gap between developers and the company's leadership. As of now, Apple has not issued an official statement regarding these plans. John Ternus took over the role of Apple's CEO in early September, succeeding the long-standing CEO, Tim Cook.

Apple has reportedly initiated cost-cutting measures across the organization while Ternus seeks new revenue sources. The hardware division has begun downsizing its project management teams, affecting approximately half a dozen directors. Furthermore, significant cuts are planned for the Siri voice assistant teams, the Vision Pro headset development, and AI software engineering teams.
