Protocol lapse: Parvatipuram RDO apologises to A.P. SC panel

Parvatipuram Revenue Divisional Officer K. Madhuri apologized to the Andhra Pradesh State Commission for Scheduled Castes on Tuesday after a hearing conducted by K.S. Jawahar. The apology came for an alleged protocol violation during the official visit of the Commission member Ravada Seetharam to the district on September 9 and 10.

Madhuri assured the Commission that the district administration would ensure proper implementation of statutory protocol during the visit of the Commission chairman and members. Seetharam had complained that the district administration had failed to provide chairs or a microphone for his meeting with the RDO and tahsildars, which was crucial for an effective interaction during the review of pending petitions.

Madhuri clarified that the lapse was not intentional and mentioned that on those days all senior officers were occupied with other tasks. The AP State Commission for Scheduled Castes emphasized the importance of adhering to rules and regulations while handling petitions related to the Dalit community and ensuring due respect to the Commission.
