PN mohon penjelasan JPPM mengenai status logo untuk PRN Melaka

Perikatan Nasional (PN) has sought clarification from Malaysia's Societies Registration Authority (JPPM) regarding the status of the combined logo for PRN Melaka. PN's Chief Secretary Takiyuddin Hassan stated that the party will face no issues if it encounters obstacles in using its own logo. However, they are currently awaiting confirmation from JPPM.

The party is now being asked for more detailed explanations, but the opposition party's position is unclear. Takiyuddin added that using another party's logo during PRN won't be a problem if PN encounters any hindrance in using its combined symbol. In elections, any party's logo can be used, and in the 2018 general election, all parties used their respective logos without any issues.

The logo is not a significant issue, he said. Additionally, the strategies and conditions regarding the use of party symbols during PRN Melaka will be finalized after further discussions among the constituent parties. JPPM suspended all PN activities on Tuesday, a day after issuing a notice due to objections raised by Bersatu. The suspension was also meant to protect the interests of the association, not to cancel the PN registration.

Takiyuddin, who previously served as PN's Chief Secretary, also accused potential political pressure behind JPPM's action against PN.
