New York Giants sign WR Braxton Berrios to active roster

On Tuesday, the New York Giants made roster adjustments, specifically to their wide receiver position. They signed veteran 30-year-old Braxton Berrios to the active roster, following a brief three-game stint with the team. The move came after they released Odell Beckham Jr., who was elevated to the active roster for the season's opening games.

Berrios spent the first three weeks of the season on the practice squad, serving as a standard gameday player for all three initial matchups. NFL regulations permit players to be elevated a maximum of three times during the regular season. To maintain an active presence on game days, the Giants had to sign Berrios to the 53-man roster.

Despite his signing, Berrios has yet to register a receiving statistic this season. He has participated in 22 offensive snaps, accounting for 12% of the total, and 21 special teams snaps, contributing to 32% of the total. During these plays, he has returned two punts for a combined 12 yards and caught five kicks for 138 yards.
