Negeri Sembilan MB meets Tuanku Muhriz amid state crisis

Negeri Sembilan's Menteri Besar, Datuk Ismail Lasim, met with the state's ruler, Tuanku Muhriz Almarhum Tuanku Munawir, at the Istana Hinggap today. The meeting took place at around 11:00 am, following calls from Deputy Prime Minister and Barisan Nasional Chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, for Ismail to engage with Tuanku Muhriz to resolve the ongoing crisis in the state.

Other attendees included the Undang Luak Sungei Ujong, Muhammad Faris Johari, the Undang Luak Rembau, Hassan Ab Hamid, and Negeri Sembilan's Police Chief, Datuk Alzafny Ahmad.

The purpose of the meeting is believed to be related to the recent political and administrative crisis in Negeri Sembilan, which also involves the status of the former State Executive Council (EXCO) members. Earlier in the day, Tuanku Muhriz had revoked the appointments of the Negeri Sembilan EXCO members, while Ismail continued his duties as the Menteri Besar.
