NDC opens nominations for 2026 regional executive elections on October 6

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) announced on Tuesday, October 6, the opening of nominations for its 2026 Regional Executive Elections. This announcement came in a statement signed by Barbara Serwaa Asamoah, Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, for the General Secretary. The opening of nominations marks the beginning of the electoral process detailed in a timetable released on August 5 under reference number NDC/HQ/25-3/103.

The party emphasized that this stage is crucial for its electoral process and encouraged all eligible members to participate actively within the designated timeframe.

To participate in the nomination process, aspirants and supporting members must adhere to specific requirements set by the NDC. All payments associated with picking nomination forms and filing must be made exclusively through the party's designated online portal, forms.ghanandc.com, Mobile Money networks, or approved electronic payment methods like Visa Card and MasterCard.

Bank payments and bank drafts are not accepted. Consequently, aspirants and all other parties involved—proposers, seconders, and endorsers—must be active members in good standing of the party. Those with outstanding arrears in dues are required to settle these before engaging in the nomination process. The party specified that dues can be paid via the mobile money code 920 25# or via the NDC's official website (ndc.org.gh/dues).

As the nominations commence, the NDC urges all aspirants and members to adhere to the party's democratic values, maintain discipline, respect decorum, and ensure a peaceful and orderly electoral process across all regions.
