NADMO begins relief distribution to over 4,000 households affected by Hohoe floods

The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has initiated the distribution of food and essential items to over 4,000 households impacted by flooding in Hohoe, located in Ghana's Volta Region. Pascal Agbagba, the Volta Regional Director of NADMO, informed The Pulse on JoyNews that the organization has already provided initial relief, including mattresses, food, mosquito nets, mosquito repellent, and cooking oil.

Agbagba explained that these supplies are part of NADMO's immediate response while awaiting further relief items from the national office. He assured that the national office is mobilizing additional resources for the affected communities. NADMO has identified more than 4,000 affected households across approximately 400 houses in the affected areas, with each house receiving some form of assistance during this interim period.

The distribution of additional relief items will be contingent upon the arrival of supplies from the national office, with the allocation based on the number of affected households once they are received.
