Mohit Sharma to be CSK’s bowling coach as Zaheer Khan makes his first move

Chennai Super Kings have appointed former seamer Mohit Sharma as their new bowling coach after Zaheer Khan became the head coach of the franchise. The decision to bring in Sharma is part of the changes made in the support staff following Zaheer's appointment. Zaheer Khan himself is responsible for picking his own coaching team, and it was announced that Sharma will be filling the bowling coach position.

This move comes after Mohit played for CSK during his early years and also represented India. The 38-year-old Sharma will replace Eric Simons, who had been part of the coaching staff under Stephen Fleming. It is expected that Zaheer will also seek help from an overseas expert for the batting coach role, while the physios and trainers will be his own choice.
