MoEHE announces opening of applications for Qatar Education Excellence Award 2027 in October

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) has announced the opening of online applications for the Qatar Education Excellence Award, which runs from October 1 to 31. The award recognizes outstanding individuals from Qatar for their scientific, educational, and research achievements, and aims to promote a culture of excellence and creativity within society.

Maryam Abdullah Al Mohannadi, CEO of the Qatar Education Excellence Award, emphasized that the award seeks to inspire individuals to build upon their experiences and transform their success into positive impacts across various fields, thereby supporting Qatar's development journey. The application portal will remain open until October 31, 2026, with results announced on February 4, 2027.

As part of its preparations, the award organized virtual introductory sessions in June and held an introductory session on its electronic system in September to provide candidates with information about the nomination criteria, evaluation standards, and requirements for each of the nine categories. In 2026, the award received 371 applicants, a 34% increase from the previous year, with 108 winners, including 38 platinum medalists and 70 gold medalists.
