Injuries are piling up for the slow-starting Rams, but Puka Nacua could return this week

The Los Angeles Rams experienced a further increase in their injury list following their 30-26 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday night. Cornerback Jaylen Watson and tight end Terrance Ferguson are likely to miss the upcoming game against the Eagles. Watson dislocated his shoulder, but coach Sean McVay does not anticipate him being placed on injured reserve.

Ferguson suffered a sprained ankle's medial ligament. Tight end Colby Parkinson's status remains uncertain after spraining his shoulder's AC joint. These injuries, combined with the absence of star receiver Puka Nacua, who has been out for two straight weeks due to a hip and groin injury, put additional pressure on the already thin Rams roster.

McVay expressed optimism that Nacua could return to action this week after reporting a good workout before the game. The team's offensive performance suffered significantly without Nacua, who is both a receiver and a run blocker. The absence of Nacua impacted the Rams' ability to score in the red zone, as they only managed one touchdown in four opportunities.
