Honor Watch 6 Pro Packs Advanced Health Tracking and 18-Day Battery

Honor has introduced the Watch 6 Pro, an upgraded version of its Watch 6 series, offering enhanced health, sports, and positioning capabilities. The standard Watch 6 sports a 10.8mm thick display and a 980mAh battery capable of lasting up to 35 days, whereas the Watch 6 Plus features a larger 1,000mAh battery. However, the Watch 6 Pro opts for a smaller 500mAh battery while upgrading its display and health tracking features.

Design-wise, the Watch 6 Pro flaunts a 1.5-inch dual-layer OLED screen with a resolution of 466 × 466 pixels. It boasts an impressive peak brightness of 4,500 nits and can surge to 5,500 nits when a smaller part of the screen is lit up. The watch measures 46.3 × 46.3 × 11.6mm and is built using a stainless steel casing. Certain models come with a two-tone ceramic coating, which is bonded to the stainless steel using heat at 1,400°C, rendering it more robust than the painted finish seen on other variants. In terms of aesthetics, the Watch 6 Pro is available in five color and strap combinations.

Health-wise, the Watch 6 Pro is equipped to monitor heart rate variability around the clock, second-generation blood pressure tracking, and Continuous Glucose Monitoring for blood sugar levels. It also includes crash detection and can initiate an emergency alert if it detects no pulse during a cardiac arrest incident. Compared to its predecessor, the Watch 5 Pro, the Watch 6 Pro introduces continuous HRV tracking, blood sugar monitoring, and cardiac arrest detection.

Additionally, the watch offers various sports modes, including Trail Running Mode, Professional Badminton Mode, and Professional Football Mode. It is also capable of being used while swimming, and its display responds to wet fingers.

The Honor Watch 6 Pro leverages its Polaris positioning system, which employs dual-frequency positioning and a three-antenna setup, ensuring a stable signal even in bustling urban areas. The system allows for continuous positioning for up to 21 hours. With a 500mAh battery, the watch can last up to 7 days when the Always On Display is enabled.

However, when all health-monitoring features are active, battery life dwindles to around 4 days. A maximum battery mode prolongs usage to 18 days. In China, the stainless steel Watch 6 Pro retails for approximately $240, while the version with the sintered ceramic finish is priced around $270.
