Gulf Air jet to soar over Sepang as F1 Bahrain GP gets special fly-past

SEPANG, Sept 29 — The upcoming Formula 1 (F1) Bahrain Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) will be accompanied by a special fly-past by Gulf Air, announced by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM). Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Air Navigation Services) Zainul Abidin Maslan announced that the air show will take place on October 4, both for rehearsal and race day.

CAAM has made the necessary technical and service preparations to ensure the fly-past goes smoothly, coordinating with the control centers and KLIA control tower. The low fly-past during the race has been carefully planned to cause minimal disruption to air traffic. CAAM is also prepared to accommodate additional flights transporting logistics for the F1 teams, while maintaining normal air traffic volume.

The return of F1 to Malaysia's SIC after a nine-year absence is the result of successful diplomacy between the Malaysian monarchy and the Bahraini King.
